Kennedy Kinnick, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri in May 2026, where she studied with Christina Ray. While at Mizzou, Kennedy was recognized for her academic and musical achievements through induction into Pi Kappa Lambda. Beginning in fall 2026, she will pursue a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado Boulder under the instruction of Abigail Nims as the recipient of a competitive Graduate Assistantship, with an anticipated graduation date of 2028. Throughout her studies, Kennedy has earned recognition in National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competitions in both classical and musical theatre categories and most recently placed third at the National NATS Competition in San Antonio, Texas.

During the 2025–2026 season, she appeared as a featured soloist with the Mizzou Symphonic Orchestra after winning the University of Missouri's Soloist Competition. She also performed the role of The Mother in Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors with Landlocked Opera, sang the role of Hansel in Mizzou Show-Me Opera's production of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, and appeared as a soloist in Schubert's Sanctus in E-flat with the Choral Union Choir and Orchestra.

In the 2024–2025 season, Kennedy performed in Landlocked Opera's production of Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore and portrayed Dame Carruthers in Mizzou Opera's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Yeomen of the Guard. In July 2025, she made both a role and company debut as Cherubino in Lyric Opera Studio Weimar's production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro in Weimar, Germany.

During the 2023–2024 season, Kennedy made her company debut as a Flower Girl and covered the role of Cherubino in Landlocked Opera's production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. She also performed the role of Polinesso in Mizzou Opera's production of Handel's Ariodante.

Kennedy made her operatic debut in the 2022–2023 season as Hippolyta in Mizzou Opera's production of Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The following summer, she appeared as Cornelia in Opera Seme's production of Handel's Giulio Cesare in Arezzo, Italy.
